Chausey, fragile and magical
Literally next -door- neighbours with Granville, the Chausey Islands are just nine miles off the coast. The tidal range here is one of the biggest in Europe. Standing on the beach on a fine day, you can see the archipelago outlined on the horizon. Wander around this protected area and dive into pristine nature, a world away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. It’s a priceless treasure that deserves our protection and respect.
To see the white sands of the Chausey archipelago rising out at low tide, from the deck of a traditional old sailing ship... to row out in a canoe and go ashore, like some budding Robinson Crusoe on a distant Polynesian island (minus the heat): It's simply magical !
